When you trigger a demeanour it, as far as I understand, simulates the use of a Fate Point. If you roleplay it well enough, you get an improvement and the text lists examples of how various fate point uses is improved - but there's nothing about how a reroll to a test is improved. Is it possible to improve that aspect of the fate point use? Maybe "roll twice, take best"?
Triggering demeanour improvements and rerolls?

How would you trigger your demeanour in case of a reroll?
Using a fate point - you described your action, rolled the dice, decided you didn't like the result, so you spend a fate point and reroll.
With demeanour - you described your action, rolled the dice, decided you didn't like the result, so... you look at your GM with a twinkle in your eye and say 'No, you've misunderstood me, what I really did was...'?
In general - to trigger your demeanour for a reroll you'd have to know in advance that you're going to fail, so... you might as well trigger the demeanour to get the +20 to roll.
Ok, did the quick math and I see why you might rather have a reroll than +20 to a roll. Still, I don't think it's feasible from role playing point of view (and a demeanour is all about roleplaing, isn't it?).
At least the bonus for doing it right is, you can trigger your demeanor freely if you can justify doing so, so the basic version is easy to apply. Situation fits i trigger it, situation fits and i trigger it in a well played manner, i get the bonus if people enjoy the show.
Alright, fair point about the feel of flow on that one. But I suppose it could be done a bit differently compared to standard reroll use. The "roll twice, take best" could be chosen before you roll your dice as you've triggered your demeanour. A bit more powerful than your standard fate point use, I'll admit, but not by much (you're rolling two dice right away, instead of rerolling the dice in case you don't like the result - slight difference). An improvement on that might be "roll thrice, take best", even better.. probably too good. Hm. But hey, can only do it once a session, and only if you roleplay good enough. But I suppose it beats +10 and +20, unless you consistently roll bad.
