Ganging Up on Hords

By TechVoid, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Greetings fellow Battle Brothers,

maybe a rather stupid question, but: Do you allow Ganging Up on Hords?

First, it seems rather stupid because Ganging Up is based on outnumbering a foe. But from a game-technical point of view, a horde does simplay count as one enemy. Having interchanged wounds for magnitude.

And second, even if it would be forbidden in melee, with which I could live, how about ranged attacks with an Astartes Signum Link? I would resemble something like curtain fire, if it is the right translation into English.

Maybe make minor changes like half the bonus.

What do you think?

Best regards,

TechVoid.

Normally not but with Signum Link... I could see that.

Does it realy matter, max. bonus is +60%, if you fight hordes its easily reached...

Unless you're crazy enough to Melee with the Horde, or, say you're out of ammo. Size modifiers apply only to Ranged attacks, and not to Melee.

This is incorrect. To quote Watch Commander Watson here: "Size modifiers count for all attacks, both ranged and melee."

That's right. I forgot about that... Hard not to scoop some pudding in the spoon when you're swimming in a pool of it... That's a rather bizarre analogy I just came up with.
