Hello!

When portcullises are placed during the alarm, are they placed to block the space entirely, meaning characters cannot ENTER a space with the portcullis? Or are the portcullises just blocking the EXIT from that space, meaning the character can enter the space but just won't be able to leave the city from it?

One of the designers answered this question over on boardgamegeek. He said they just block the exit, not the actual space so a ganger can walk through that area, he just can't leave the board from that space.
