thing is your not going to be landing an army in a few trips, likely the best option if you want a regiment of guard use them to the equivalent of air cavalry. use guncutters to ltroops then use the guncutters to provide close air support. unless you want to spend a a lot to custom build a heavy lander and tow it behind you. an apc or tank can't go just any where, you need a big enough landing zone to deploy them. helicopter infantry can go places you can't normally acess by road.
