How are you handling xp ?

The reason i ask is that i feel going for a more old style approach might work best. I understand why they went for a one session one xp system except for the big finish when its slightly more however i just dont like it..

However what works best in your view...

yep, i have converted one new advance into 100 xp, and then award xp based on completion of goals etc etc.

I just find the ability to give out smaller increments of xp allows me to better control the rate of advance of the PCs and still allows me to reward them with something at the end of the session, without neccessarily giving them a full advance.]

works for me (although my players may think differently! but then they moan alot anyway!)
