Opinions about Questing Knight for WFRP3?

By doc_cthulhu, in WFRP House Rules

I'm creating a PC for a one-shot adventure that takes place in Mousillon, Bretonnia. As there're no high level careers (or knight for that matter) in WFRP3 I just whipped up this character and his abilities. What do you think? Especially about virtues?

Name: Sir Dagonet Le BenĂȘt?Race: Bretonnian (Lyonesse)?

Current career: Questing Knight (ex-knight of the realm, ex-knight errant)?Current rank: 3?Wound Threshold: 16
Stance: Reckless OO Conservative OO

Characteristics:?Strength 5?Toughness 4?Agility 3?Intelligence 2?Willpower 3?Fellowship 2

Skills:?Athletics x?Ride (warhorse) x?Weapon skill xx "(two-handed weapons)?Disciplinex?Leadership

Actions:?Asses the Situation, Block, Dodge, Guarded Position, Melee Attack, Parry, Perform a Stunt, Ranged Attack, Shield Slam, Duelist's Strike, Thunderous Blow

Talents:?Resolute (Focus), Determined (Focus), Favoured by the Lady of the Lake (Reputation use "Favoured by Fortune to represent), Cavalry Specialist (Tactic),

Career Cards:?Virtuie of Chivalry (Knight Errant - You may call upon the Lady of the Lake and gain her blessings)?Virtue of Duty (Knight of the Realm - Gain 1 fortune die when fighting alongside companions, suffer 1 missfortune die when not)?Virtue of the Quest (Questing Knight - Suffer d2 for Melee attacks with Lance, spend fortune point to roll Specialization dice, success heals one wound)

I like it.

If this is an advanced career then I'd remove the suffer 1 misfortune from Virtue of Duty. Also I don't understand what exactly Virtue of the Quest does.

If I'm reading it correctly you make a 2d Melee attack with a lance and can spend fortune dice to roll expert dice, a success heals one wound. Why would it be a d2 melee attack, why the healing?

Virtue of Chivalry:

Before going into combat, the knight takes a few minutes to pray to the lady of the lake asking for a boon. He then spends a fortune die and gains the blessing:

The knight rolls one extra fortune die and selects the better result.

You get the blessing for the whole encounter, forgot too mention that. Otherwise it would be worse than just using one fortune die happy.gif
