So one of my players is playing a solider, and a veteran of the Worlds wars, the book mentioned that they took place a decade a ago but no where does it mention current year. Can anyone help with this answer

The books deliberately don't give a specific year so the players can insert their own. They just use examples like; xx77, xx45, xx50. So you get an idea of how far apart certain events are.
If you're looking for a simple baseline, I set my game in 2175. Far enough in the future to feel "alien" and different, but within view of a few generations.
