Aside from the subject line of this post being the name of the next band I form, what do we think about this interaction?

Ryad: “While you would execute a [straight] maneuver, you may increase the difficulty of that maneuver. If you do, execute it as a [Koiogran Turn] maneuver instead.”

The Ion Maneuver is defined as a blue 1-straight. Unlike most maneuver-altering abilities, Ryad doesn’t say anything about revealing a dial, or “the revealed maneuver,” so... can she perform the Ion Maneuver as a white 1-K? And if she does, will that count as having performed an Ion Maneuver? Will her Ion tokens be removed at the end of the turn? Can she just keeping doing 1-K’s and Focusing all day?

From the Ion rules on page 13 of the rules reference:

2. During the Execute Maneuver step, the ionized ship executes the ion maneuver. The ion maneuver is a blue [1 󲁞] maneuver. The bearing, difficulty, and speed of this maneuver cannot be changed unless an ability explicitly affects the ion maneuver.

So because Ryad's ability does not explicitly call out ion maneuvers, it cannot be used in this case.
