Z-95 Ordnance Swarm

Can't help thinking the points change has swung too far towards ordnance. If one of the trace carriers can land a shot it sets up a lot of potential double modded shots. Ion is more for an extra dice than anything. False Transponder Codes seems a steal at two points as well for jamming stuff.

I like it! FTC should help keep the Tracer carriers alive and the ion is good bc you often only get 1 hit through anyway.

Here is a rebel version: It has 1 less Z-95, but is at I2 and has Selfless mixed in (which went down to 2) to keep the Tracer carriers alive:

I dig the weenie spam concept. Just a thought - add Drea Renthal in a Y-Wing and keep her well behind the Z95s for multiple attack re-rolls...

Don't get me wrong, Drea's super powerful, but I would have thought it would be better to do Drea or Tracers / Ordnance, not both together. At least, not lock based ordnance because the rerolls are coming from the locks.

True, but Drea is only re-rolling 1 die - sometimes you may not want to burn a lock for only one die. Also, the tracer thing may not always work out, so you may not always have locks due to the chaos of battle.
Drea isn't a linchpin or anything, just icing on the cake...

Yeah - but my feeling is she's priced to be a linchpin! :)

In terms of maximizing efficiency, if the tracers hit, I'm getting 8 free target locks. Drea is reducing that by one. That said, having her reroll available for the tracer carriers could be clutch. I guess it would be worth a try!

Hrm. The downside with Drea is that she's at least as expensive as 2x Ion Banana Pirates. There are potentially some 7 ship lists that might make sense.

  • Version 1 - Bossk provides Drea with a lock, so she can get in on ordnance... probably not really worth, since she can't afford Plasma Torps.

  • Version 2 - I kinda like this. A mix of different kinds of weapons.

  • Version 3 - FTC does seem pretty handy, tho.
