As Charon reaches the landing, blaster bolts fire up the lift and she knows that they've been discovered. Hopefully the inquisitor didn't choose to come up, cause while Charon was confident in her hand to hand skills, fighting a lightsaber wielder was another story. Not wanting to take any chances, she made her way over to the state room, where she noticed a ventilation shaft, hopefully it would be their path to escape.
Rise Against the Reach IC
Bonn'Uss continued to climb the lift shaft. When he joined the rebellion he was hoping he could play with his computers and not have to perform so much manual work.
I'd rather be alive, though.
The sound of combat echoed below him and he would get revenge on those he had lost.
Just get to landing bay.
Eventually, after an exhaustive climb he managed to get to the door for the landing pad and pried it open with one of his tools.
After Argo had popped out of the vent, Wesk followed suit and leapt out with a fancy pirouette, which he landed gracefully with slightly bent knees. He adjusted his shield atop his head like a wide-brimmed hat, and gave a nod to his companion, signalling for it to follow. Argo shook its body, trying to get the pesky dust and fluff that had gotten stuck in its fur inside the ducts, then quickly followed in a sprint after the Kyuzo.
By sheer luck, Wesk was right on time to spot Charon moving into the stateroom, and followed after her, hoping she had an idea of how to escape discreetly, to avoid further confrontation. He abruptly froze, however, skidding an inch or two on the floor as he heard the explosions, blaster fire and screams from the sub-level below them. Argo had the same reaction, though it looked up at Wesk, confused as to why he had stopped.
In their escape, they had left the Rebels to fight off the Imperials, and for a moment, he considered going back to aid them, though the nudge of his Anooba partner snapped him out of the trance. If the Rebels had been taken down it was to give them a window to escape. With a newfound motivation to flee the scene, the Kyuzo gave Argo a pat on the head and rushed into the estate, only to spot more bodies sprawled on the floor. He didn't seem all to happy with the chaos that was ensuing, and very reluctantly opted to keep going up into the ventilation shaft.
Using the previous technique, Argo went first with a boost from Wesk and began climbing and crawling to the best of its ability. Following soon after, Wesk leapt up onto the shaft on the ceiling and quickly began making his way through the ducts. Though the hardest part was keeping the Anooba climbing, their journey sped up once they traveled horizontal, as the Anooba was no longer slowing down Wesk and the two could pick up the pace.
At the end of the ventilation shaft, they found themselves climbing up once more, pushing through the final stretch to reach the landing pad, where the two expected to be picked up, or at least find a way out of the planet.
Charon jumps up, grabbing the lift with her hands and lifting herself up. Using her arms and legs she braced both sides of the vent, slowly pulling herself up until she got to the horizontal part. She continued following the vents until she got into the resort.
Once there, she took off her helmet, and slid it into her backpack, hoping no one would notice her as she walked out of the establishment. Once out, she put her helmet back on and looked around the street for a way to the landing pad where she was supposed to rendezvous with the evacuation craft.
She sees a fire escape, and climbs up it, once again using her superior athleticism to scale the first ladder, then after that climbing all the way up to the top, where she sees the landing pads, and on one of them is the Imperial Shuttle.
Thinking it would be better if the imperials weren't able to follow them off planet, she decides to board the shuttle, and find some way of disabling it.
As the rebel operators arrive at the landing platforms, they are not certain what to expect. They first spy the Delta-class shuttle, known as that used by the Imperial task force, closed up with no signs of activity.
”Oi! Here, mate! Quickly, now!” What they were not expecting was a notably tall human, beckoning them to board the Zeta-class shuttle on the next pad over. In their briefing below, while not confirmed, it had been flagged as likely being an imperial vessel of some sort.
Bonn'Uss knowing it would be best to get off planet quickly jogs over to the tall man.
"Hello there," greets the Chiss warily. "This your craft?"
Awkwardly, the Kyuzo and the Anooba arrived at the landing pad, with the latter once more shaking off the dust and the fuzz that it had picked up along the ducts. Wesk didn't seem to care much about the dust, only really wiping his face to clean himself when it actually affected him.
He spotted the Delta-class shuttle and stopped on his tracks. He glanced around, looking for the people he had met just before the assault happened, or even another vehicle they could take. In his sweep, he spotted the Chiss and another shuttle in the nearby landing pad, and hastily began to run again along with his companion.
Without much issue, they caught up to the Chiss and the tall human on the Zeta-class shuttle. Wesk's haste to leave the planet and his ease to trust others made him quite blissful to any hidden intentions the human could've had, yet Argo bared its fangs per usual, not trusting of anyone but Wesk himself.
As they approach closer, the beckoning man’s robe billows open, revealing black laminate armor beneath. Another quickly flanks him, with no attempt at disguise, and two more appear on the other side of the ramp, also brandishing carbines. The black helmet and laminate in the familiar imperial style identifies them as the empire’s much-feared death troopers!
Wasting no further effort on subterfuge, they open fire, sending a volley of blue rings at the rebel operators! Wesk raises his shield and tries to dodge clear, but some of the blue rings strike true. The trusting Chiss is also caught by the sudden attack.
”Come aboard quietly. Call off your dog before our sniper kills it.” The one without the helmet, who had initially hailed them, does the speaking.
(I presumed Wesk would Dodge, but correct me if this would not be the case. He takes 12 stun damage, so 7 Strain past Soak
@Darth__Lego . Bon’Uss also takes 12 stun damage, so 9 Strain past Soak @MrTInce )Wesk's eyes widened and he stepped back, realizing that they had been set up. Immediately, he ducked and side-stepped, quickly embracing his companion to protect it from the incoming blaster fire. The blue rings landed on his shield and dispersed as sparks of equally vibrant blue electricity. However, as he stood up to rush at them, another accurate volley of stun fire hit his exposed body and caused him to stumble back slightly.
He scrambled to pull his bowcaster from his back onto his hands, bringing the massive weapon to the front. In a single fluid maneuver, Wesk extended the bowcaster's sides and lowered to his knees, taking careful aim before unleashing a volley of his own. The powerful bowcaster kicked back on his shoulder, but each blaster bolt that he fired left a large carbon scoring mark after dissipating. To his fortune, a handful of lucky bolts rung true and struck the pair that had tricked them, though his aim was set on the one that had threatened Argo.
Just as he was about to unleash a second barrage, his target seemingly used the punch of the blaster bolts to take cover.
As blaster fire erupts on the other platform, Charon already had her hands in the small crack of the shuttle's landing ramp, and with an immense feat of strength, assisted by the force, she rips it open. She sees the empty shuttle, and runs inside to the door on the right side of the shuttle. She sees that on the other side is a berthing chamber, and peaks her head around, not seeing any troops, but she still stayed vigilant.
Bonn'Uss seeing the troopers in front takes out his small blaster pistol and moves into range. He panickly shoots at the closest group and manages to score a hit on one of them.
"I hit one!" he gasps before realising he weak pistol did nothing penetrate the armour of the trooper.
He sighs heavily and looks down at the gun. Why do I bother trying to shoot anything?
Lieutenant Hugo Vask is crouching near the Imperial shuttle, covering the Mandalorian as she works at the.. Kriffing kreetle frass, she just ripped the ramp right down!!
When the firefight breaks out on the other platform, he turns his heavy rifle to the new threat. Those guys look like they might actually need some help...
The death troopers on the left are already backing into cover, so he takes a bead on the two opposite. He is about to pull the trigger when he sees a flash of red and a powerful blast hits him square in the shoulder, penetrating his heavy battle armor.
“Urrgfh?!” The searing pain comes as a surprise, but he reacts quickly, wincing as he rolls to take cover. “Sniper!! Sniper!!” Can’t see him, but the flash came from on top of the cargo transport... where are you..?
Squinting through the pain, the rebel soldier is unable to locate the sniper’s nest, so he unleashes a volley of fire at his original targets. His aim is true, and the heavy blaster fire strikes one target, then settles on the other. The latter is sent reeling from the ramp, where he crumples in a heap of carbon-scored laminate.
The remaining fire team focuses fire on the Kyuzo, keeping a wary eye on his animal as well. Switching from stun, the red plasma bolts sear through Wesk’s survivalist armor, burning into the flesh beneath. “€er# £a7¥€.” “#p¥¥.” The death troopers’ encrypted vocoders produce eerie sounds, as they communicate back and forth.
The lone trooper on the other side drops down to the landing pad, where his teammate had fallen. Crouching down, he also fires at the Kyuzo, barely registering the Chiss as a threat. Wesk deftly deflects the blasts this time, keeping himself and Argo safe.
An instant later, a missile shrieks in from the sky and slams into the cargo shuttle with a massive explosion, sending them all scattering for cover. “KABOOM!!!” When the smoke clears, a scout ship can be seen on approach, coming in fast.
Wesk continued to just barely avoid some blaster fire, ducking and weaving out of the way of some blaster bolts, and yet, he was not perfect. Though some bolts clanged against his helmet, some others struck and burnt straight through his armor and into his body, leaving a charred hole in his armor behind.
<< Argo, attack! >> He shouted out to his companion, to which the canine quickly responded.
With a masterful flip, Wesk switched his position and knelt down once more, taking careful aim before unleashing a volley of suppressive fire at his opponents to aid Argo in its task to close the distance. His aim was put off by the cover and the fire he had taken, but still, it was an effective tactic that forced his foes to stand back, giving time for Argo to engage.
At the sound of the explosion, Argo immediately froze and skidded on the ground, watching the shuttle go up in flames. Wesk turned his attention away from his scope and towards the flying debris of the craft, using one arm to protect his eyes from the light and the dust kicked up by the explosion.
Edited by Darth__LegoContinuing to explore the vessel, Charon investigates the room she opens, seeing that it is nothing interesting, goes across the corridor into another room, only to find that it is a sort of stateroom, she sighs as she turns back around contemplating which door to open next, as well as he lack of any long range combat.
Seeing his gun shot out uselessly Bonn'Uss drops it and makes for the nearest terminal. Wars had been use on the back of cleverly used tech, perhaps he could be of assistance in this regard.
From his vantage concealed atop the cargo freighter, the sniper does not have line of sight with the ramp combat, so he focuses on the shooter across on the other platform. His peripherals pick up another rebel heading into his line of sight, toward a terminal, but the shooter is the more immediate threat. The rebel soldier is presenting a smaller target now, mostly hidden behind a crate, but the sniper shoots right through it with his heavy rifle. Again, plasma sears through Hugo’s armor to burn his flesh beneath.
As the Chiss slicer begins to head toward the terminal at the landing pad’s perimeter, he hears the clanking of the droid moving forward, nearing the top of the ramp. A few circuits are exposed and frayed, smoking and sparking, as a metallic voice rings out rather loudly; it is not quite binary, but near enough for the droid tech to decipher it:
”We are grounded. I was taking my break when the ion drives exploded. Repulsorlifts are down too. I am going to requisition that nice delta-class shuttle over there. And oh. Incoming.”
The gangling droid extends one of its long arms to point at the T-3c on the other platform, with its ramp hanging down at an awkward angle.
Edited out Hugo’s Action
Clutch in the scorched armor as he shoots a quick glance towards the snipers location. Knowing that the marksman’s position would continue to threaten the rebel’s retreat, he gathers his composure before breaking to a sprint across the battlefield.
Sliding to a halt beside cover he reaches for one of the grenades suspended from his armor. In an instant it is primed and sailing through the air towards the sniper’s last position. Seconds later an explosion fills the area with shrapnel and fire.
The grenade lands near enough to the sniper nest atop the cargo shuttle, that it flushes him out. “Booomm!!” The sniper attempts unsuccessfully to dive clear, but is obviously caught by the blast.
Heading down the ramp, seemingly oblivious of the firefight, the KX-series droid strides past the rebels toward the task force’s T-3c shuttle. “Stay!” he commands the creature as he passes, which the animal ignores.
The fire team still standing takes aim at the Kyuzo’s beast, who has now boarded the ramp and is threatening them, snarling and snapping. As it lunges in close, even their carbines are difficult to get a clean shot on the agile anooba.
The death trooper crouching on the platform by his fallen teammate lifts him up, and proceeds to carry him back onto the transport. He fires his carbine one handed at Wesk as he boards, striking him in the leg. “FpewFpew!!”
Argo and Wesk both were distracted by the explosions going off in the distance, only for the two to be drawn back to reality by a well placed shot that burnt into the Kyuzo's shoulder. He flinched, letting out a groan of pain as he held his now injured shoulder, but still, he would continue to fight. The Anooba, back in the game, darted onto one of the fire team members, barely avoiding blaster fire before latching onto their ankles with a ferocious bite. Even if the Imperial soldier tried to shake it off, the fangs of the hound were quite difficult to get rid of.
At the same time, Wesk shifted his position, his weight still balanced on his knees as he took careful aim at the Death Trooper that had taken a shot at him. After careful aiming, he squeezed the trigger, unleashing a devastating bolt of red plasma that pierced straight through the back of the Death Trooper's knee, sending them tumbling down onto the ground from the powerful hit.
The Kyuzo took a quick glance back at his companion to make sure it was still unharmed, and then turned towards his other teammates. Even though the Imperials were being worn down, so were his teammates. Although his hands never let go of his bowcaster, he began considering alternative ways to escape.
Charon quickly runs to the third door and opens it, quickly looks inside and doesn't see anything.
Presumably missing the Rebel pilot that is tied up in the corner where the door opens in,
After looking in the room, she runs to the other side, and sees a ladder going up to a small sub-level.
Working at the terminal Bonn'Uss manages to find a a subsystem that lets him control the turrets on the landing pad. Seeing the droid move across the pad he knows what he needs to do...
Unaware that the Chiss at the console has discovered the resort facility’s limited hidden defenses, the sniper continues to focus on the rebel fighter who had blown up his position. ”Ftoom!!” The single shot slams into Hugo, and this third consecutive hit takes a dire toll.
Above, the approaching ship resolves into an A-36 Pathfinder, coming in fast!
Edited by EdgehawkKnowing he will not survive another hit from the sniper, Hugo charges forward toward the cargo shuttle, too close to be in the topside shooter’s line of fire. Bringing his rifle to bear, he cannot get a clean shot on the fire team facing off with Argo, but squeezes the trigger and takes down the other team on the ramp. “FpewFpewFpew!!!”
Meanwhile, the Imperial KX droid continues its inexorable pace across to the other landing pad unmolested. As it reaches the Delta-class T-3c shuttle, it tilts its head quizzically at the damaged ramp.
At this time, the incoming A-36 Pathfinder roars into the narrow space between the two imperial shuttles, to which the tall droid extends a single, long mechanical digit. Coming to a halt, the newly-arrived vessel hovers a meter over the two landing platforms, and drops its ramp.
(I acted for Hugo again to keep things moving

He aims carefully and shoots the droid. A blast of electrical energy shimmers across and takes the droid in a single shot. Overwhelming its systems and dropping it in a single shot.
A vicious smile brighten's the Chiss face and he turns his bright red eyes onto a new target...
