I wanna see the AT-PT for Imperials

They could use something in between an AT-RT and AT-ST in the 130 point range.

Make it use a support slot instead of a heavy slot

Always forget the AT PT. Full armored cab RT

Lots of good suggestions here, but I guess I'll give it a shot!

CIS:

- Death Watch

- Infiltration Demolition Droids

- Nute Gunray

Republic:

- Senate Commandos

Rebellion:

- Lando

- Lando

- Lando

Empire:

- Probe droids

- Imperial Navy Troopers

- Imperial Super Commandos

- Imperial Patrol Troopers

- New Stormtrooper molds in hard plastic (Please FFG I need this)

It is nice to see all these good ideas, my own thoughts:

Rebels:

-- Chirrut Îmwe and Baze Malbus, so I can finish off the Rogue One crew

-- Shock troopers? Could include a Cara Dune named character

-- Mimbanese liberation troopers, could be a good matchup for the swamp troopers

-- T4-B tank, I doubt it is cannon but I always liked them and it might actually give the rebels a real vehicle

Imps:

-- Inquisitors

-- Swamp troopers

-- Probe droids

GAR:

-- Clone commandos

-- Galactic marines (no, not space marines)

-- Clone commandos (again because they are awesome)

CIS:

-- Crab droids

-- NR-N99 Persuader tank (snail tank)

-- Super tactical droids

New Idea

A scale vulture droid is actually pretty large.

I think Cody might be possible with the new expansion. You can't tell if the commander has his style of jetpack or not. You would have to mod in his floodlights though on the helmet. It only has the visor.

I want some artillery for CIS and GAR.

Hailfire droids for CIS, among the others that have been listed already. Magnaguards, buzzdroids, sniper variant droidekas, aquadroids would be fun, octuparra droids (either the small version or the large one).

I want a scale AT-TE for GAR. I have a printed one, but an actual model would be nice. I would absolutely hate it if they released it at a skewed scale though. Same for a gunship, even if it's just terrain. I really want arf troopers to be released in some form so I don't have to buy 7 AT-RT's just to get a squad's worth of helmets. Airborne troopers would be a dream, along with the other specialist helmet designs Kashyyyk/bacara/galactic marines. Cold weather troopers would be nice. They could make the connection that the Galactic marines are just using phase 2 armor of the phase 1 cold weather armor we have in the clone wars. This would work well for the geonosian flame troopers. Clones should get an e-web variant that we see in the show as well.

I'd be happy with larger scale units, like the Spider Droid or AT-TE as long as they are done as fun options but not intended to be competitive units. Mostly because of the boards, and from being selfish as a Rebel Player. If they have to make it so that every tournament legal board allows for these models to manoeuvre, something units like the AAT and Saber already struggle with, they are going to need to reduce the amount of larger LOS blocking pieces on those boards.

Which means the 3 Core Unit Rebel tax will literally become just that. You take 3 naked Rebel Units because you have to, not because you expect them to actually be able to do anything, they already are by far the worst core in the game when you compare saves vs unit HP, it is very easy to delete a full Rebel squad off the board with minimal investment, if they now can't hide because the boards are big and open to allow for bigger pieces, then Rebels players will have just take the 3 naked troopers as a tax and leave it at that, spend the rest of your points on things that have a chance of living.

As for things I'd like to see. Well I think every faction should get some kind of Mando unit, not direct rip offs of Clan Wren, but some variation on it, like CIS gets Death Watch, GAR gets Night Owls and Empire gets Imperial Super Commandos.

Characters I'd like to see.

GAR - Yoda, we have to get him at some point, it'll be interesting to see what they do with him, I have a few idea in my head of how I think he'd work but he'll be costly.

CIS - Savage and probably Trench are top of my list, because I'd just like to see how they work, and their modeling options - Cyborg Trench or normal Trench? only requires a different head and different left arm options. Savage, will he come with his Pike by default and the Double Bladed Lightsaber is an upgrade option, and you get the option to model both?

Empire - Thrawn, is the top of my want for them, a Support Commander that does a lot for your army but is more costly than a Krennic or Iden, without stepping into Force User prices.

Rebels - I'd like to see new versions of Han and Leia, possibly as Operatives, maybe using the classic Princess of Alderaan look for an Operative Leia model, give her secret mission as well. Han is harder, but we need a version of him that can actually deal out some damage, his gun slinger at range 2 will always kill off at least 2 units usually, but it is far too limiting in its application when compared to what other characters can deal out now, Han is a big victim of the early releases being weaker compared to similar units coming out now. Maybe Operative Han is classic Episode IV Smuggler Han, and he has the option to take a recovered E-11 Blaster to increase his range.

I think your likely to see seventh sister (might have got number wrong, the one from rebels with the droid) and Cal from fallen order with bd10, that way you get the gcw factions an observation token and the new stance force upgrade

On top of my wishlist is a competent product manager for Legion, not one who is responsible for us getting Cad Bane and Padmé BEFORE we get Anakin and Ahsoka isn't even anounced, yet, for the Clone Wars setting...

GAR:

Commandos

Generic Jedi and Padawan

CIS:

Magna Guard

Crab Droid

Geonosians

IMP:

Inquisitors

Probe Droids

I'd like to see GAR and CIS get fully fleshed out rosters before they do anything new. So 4+ commanders, 2+ ops, 3 specials, 3 support, 2 heavies.

Given how slow their releases are I don't think we'll get that. In games like this to keep it fresh you need to keep producing new product and even though they are older factions you can't leave Rebel and Empire players high and dry for a year to catch up the new factions.

It also isn't as necessary because there was a lot of playing and and experimenting in the Rebel/Empire lists early on, to figure out what worked and what didn't, so certain units are right offs that will be hard to recover, so while GAR and CIS only have 2 Core options, both of those options are way more viable and solid than what Empire and Rebels have to offer.

ARCs and BX Commandos are a good example, while Scouts and Rebel Commandos will likely never see a full squad, the new factions special forces will. Which means there is less need for them to get out a Clan Wren/Inferno Squad equivalent, especially when you look at ARCs and see that they are basically a mash up of Scout Troopers and Imperial Special Forces, even getting the two unique characters to put in core/SF units.

Remember that Disney can also influence their release schedule to a certain extent (they did ask for OP Luke and Vader to be released earkier than planned).

By the way, I asked my eight-year-old son, who happens to be my only quarantine gaming partner for Legion, about this and he brought up the idea of Nuvo Vindi.

Not my favorite Clone Wars villain by a long shot, but I could see a cool revision of the character working as part of a neutral expansion.

But maybe he'd make a good plague-using villain -- maybe with one of those LEP servant droids by his side.

He could do a lot with poison tokens, maybe even have a Command Card that lets him spread it for a turn, if a trooper is within X range of another trooper with a poison token when it activates, it gains a poison token. Of course droids would still be immune to poison, so it would be useless against other CIS lists but it would probably ruin Clone Balls.

GAR:

Generic Jedi Knight Commander

Clone E-Web/EWHB-12

CIS:

Ventress

CIS militia/non-droid troopers

Imperial:

Mudtroopers

Inquisitor (singular, though a pair could be interesting, roughly a weaker cheaper analog to the generic Jedi Knight)

Rebels:

Saw's partisan's, with their heavy weapon option being a suicide bomber.

Generic Jedi Knight Commander

I like this idea with multiple arm/lightsaber/head options.

I even like the idea of special forces unit (maybe limit 1 and 1 with named characters) that would be super expensive but pierce and deflect and jump1 and other jedi-type keywords that could wreck face, but be taken down by lots of fire or a super jedi (Dooku, Palpatine, etc)

Yep, exactly. A Jedi unit would be very difficult to do, because at anything reasonable (attack and pierce values lifted straight from Grievous, the worst saber attack in the game) multiplied by anything more than 2 would be outrageous. Single or paired Jedi work better, and fit the lore.

Ideally, I'd like to see named Jedi upgrade cards for the Generic Jedi, as well as with the Generic Clone Commander. Don't do Mace, or Cody, for instance, because they'll likely get a dedicated unit, but give secondary characters upgrade cards. Fox adds gunslinger, or compel, Thorn adds a Z-6 weapon, etc. For the Jedi, Quinlain Vos could add a blaster ranged attack, Aayla Secura could have inspire (basically lifting it right from her Saber tank card), etc. Or you run them a bit cheaper without the fancy upgrades as your own, unique Jedi.

I was thinking of a unit of 3 Jedi, 2 wounds each. Jump 1, Red Defense, Deflect, Surge to crit

either Red and white each with pierce 1 or 1B 2W each with pierce 1 each. (so if one guy dies you lose a 1/3 of your pierce and dice)

You could upgrade with a jedi master and have Master of the Force 1 for 30pts or something. kit them out with some force upgrades and maybe a training or gear slot.

If you take a look at the release date, I think you can determine if it's real or not...

@Lochlan
you're right, i didn't even pay attention to that. Still a really impressive photoshop creation.

Mini heart attack there. thanks

The other thing I want is a unit expansion box for both imperials and rebels that helps some of the weaker units.

Like an imperial unit expansion box that has 6-7 new models and gives 1-2 new heavy weapons/personnel options each for Scout Troopers, Snowtroopers, Royal Guard, and Stormtroopers. They could also throw in a new ISF model to fix the problem with that box not having enough models two run two units and maybe another heavy weapon option for either the Shoretroopers or Deathtroopers.

Scout Troopers could get a cheap heavy weapon option that costs 20 points and gives them shielded 1. Because scout troopers are way too fragile.

Snowtroopers could get a new personnel option that lets them coordinate with an e-web and lets you exhaust him to give the e-web range 4 for a turn.

Royal Guard could get a Royal Guard Champion option. Or maybe even a named character like Carnor Jax. An option to run him alone as an operative or as a heavy weapon would be cool.

Stormtroopers could get a new non-combatant spotter droid that gives them target 1 and can exhaust to give them critical X or sharpshooter X for a turn.

ISF could just get any model... the missing 8th model to run two units. Or even Seyn Marana.

And then do something similar for the rebels as well.

I don't buy that Disney would ask for Padmé and Cad Bane to be released BEFORE Anakin and Ahsoka, so in that case I won't let FFG off the hook so easily unless evidence to the contrary is presented to me. :D

No, but Disney COULD have held up the release of the Force user characters for GCW so FFG couldn't release Anakin and Maul with a release that would include the Force upgrades for the GCW factions.
