Go for it FFG, break it on ALL new re-releases... just print a round-up pack like Hotshots and aces, as well in a TIMELY manner so that the delay isn't too long, and which can also serves as a 'new stuff' pack for people not buying out of faction, and all is forgiven and, again, I will buy it every single release, and I suspect a lot of other people would too.

My brain immediately links New Snap to a couple Red Vets with Tailspin, BBs and ATP as a fun new T70 list (plus RZ or whatever).

lt was clear from the moment the prequel faction s were mentioned that they'd be a big focus for 2nd edition. And the Resistance and First order also needed to play catch up having been split out from the first edition factions.

They still need beefing up - 2nd edition versions of the Upsilon, StarFortress and Falcon can't be far off, surely?

That said, yeah, the original three factions are needing a bit of love, so Skystrike and Phoenix need to deliver.

We still don't know of a way for a T-70 to perform a red SLAM action, right? (Poe can't allow it because RR says he can't.)

Do we think there's anything more to be revealed from this pack, or is it devs not realizing T-70s don't have a way to dot his, or devs keeping design space open?

It's slightly better than 1e Hotshot Blaster. And little else.

No, it's not years overdue. It was a small anti-personnel cannon. Next you'll tell me we need The Falcon's pop-out blaster for another rotatable arc at just about the same range.

Officially no, Poe can't use it.

Not sure if they kept anything back. Can't see them doing that.

Rule Ref just got updated. Poe can now red SLAM.

"A ship can perform a SLAM action only during its activation in the Activation Phase. Therefore a ship cannot perform a SLAM action if it is granted an action at any other time."

The ability to use Slam as his second action can give Poe several new options, add in Overdrive Thrusters...

Just so I'm clear on Overdrive Thrusters SLAM: you still select the move from your current speed, then execute it at +1 template, right? You don't select from a higher speed (say, 3-straight SLAM into 4k). Instead, you could 4-straight then SLAM a 5K.

Or could you... what are folks current opinions on Red SLAM into a Red Maneuver? Does this cause a stress-maneuver, or do you do the maneuver first, then take the stress from SLAM? #2 seems best to me, so that you'll wind up with a stress after a Red SLAM even if you dial in a blue move, and that feels like the proper outcome.

It's 100% "choose your maneuver, then add one to the number if such a template exists."

Red SLAM into red maneuver is an interesting idea. I didn't even think of that, and it's quite possible FFG didn't either. Though it will probably end up just doing the 2-straight. The next question is, does Overdrive Thrusters affect that?

1. My understanding is yes, so you’d start with a move on your dial of the same speed like a normal slam, and then do a speed higher if possible - for example, you choose a 2 turn having executed a 2 speed Maneuver, you now execute it as a 3 turn. My belief on the “if able” means if the template actually exists (as opposed to a fictional speed 4 turn if you dialed a 3 turn).

2. Since you cannot perform actions while stressed, my belief is you gain the cost of a red action after the action is performed. In the case of a slam, that would allow you to slam into a red move, and then you gain the stress for performing the move, then gain the stress for completing a red action. That’s my interpretation anyway. I could be wrong, and wouldn’t mind a faq for that.

"Actions have three difficulties: white, red, or purple. White is the least difficult, then red, then purple.

You have to pay the cost to make the attempt. So Red SLAM into a red maneuvre would equal a 2 white straight.

On a positive note a Red SLAM into a Blue manuevre would clear the stress!

Nimi with R6-D8 seems consistent. Bastian, jess with Tallie or Zizi trying to get the bullseye on.

So: Seftin or Tallie? Who's better? I think it's unlikely that Seftin costs *less* than Tallie, since Tallie is already so dang cheap. At the same price, who do you go with? I kinda think Tallie--her ability doesn't require a really narrow set of actions (Evade > Boost), and they're both incredibly position dependent. A Range 1 bubble that only happens after a boost is not trivial to use.

Rebel Starfighter Owners' Worskhop Manual identifies it as an Ax-190-B Blaster Cannon, and assuming the Wook has taken its description straight from there, it says that the gun has automated targeting for rearward defence against enemy starfighters.

So don't know what else to tell you bud. Official material says it's starfighter grade, not anti-personnel.

Gonna go back to going with "long overdue" if that's quite alright with you.

Always Talie for me, unless I have easy coordinate in the list alongside Seftin. Just seeing the cards for a few days, I don't see myself taking Seftin at all. There's just too many other good I5 A-Wings that are better.

Yeah this all day long.

It could be used as Jake tends to be, keeping it behind and just feeding evades but Jake at least gets a mod for himself. If you had a coordinator, sure you can evade boost preposition, then focus for offence. Yet we're still lacking any fast coordinators, bucket with threepio is the best we have.
