So got my copy of Celestial Realms today and boy did I get a much desired and unexpected surprise...updated Phoenix mons! And a Kaito mon!

That Isawa one, wow.

I honestly was expecting the Kaito mon to feature a pentagram similar to Abe no Seimei's mon, as iirc there are a few potential ties between him and the Kaito. I do like this design better though (and after some reflection can understand wanting to avoid a pentagram), I'm assuming the points of the stars are intended to be the fletchings of arrows.

I also like how suitably ostentatious the updated Isawa mon is, adding the elements tied to their symbols, and how Void isn't actually "named" anymore.

Yes, I was getting the fletchings vibe as well.

I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive. Hopefully I'll get it by end of this week....

And the Kaito assault upon all established families continues 😄
