Battle Meditation

Clarifying question on Battle Meditation. It says that I can issue an order to any unit on the battlefield instead of one written on the card. I understand that this could circumvent what's written on an order card as far as what unit type receives the order. However, I had read it that it would also let me issue an order to any one of my units regardless of whether they're in command range (read: "Any unit on the battlefield") but now that I'm reading it again I'm questioning it. Does that allow me to issue an order to anyone regardless of distance or does it just override the command card?

Anyone, anywhere.

But it takes one of your orders. For example if you play An Entire Legion and issue an order to a unit out of range you'd have to pick a unit within range that won't get an order.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't trust my interpretation.
