Under droids it says that they do not take suppression. Do they panic, or just take ion tokens?

They cannot be suppressed. They take suppression, and can panic as normal. They do not benefit from suppression's granting of cover, nor do they reduce their actions due to suppression.

It does not say they don't take suppression. It say they cannot be Suppressed (lose an action from having suppression tokens at least equal to their courage) and don't get Cover from having suppression tokens. They still gain and lose suppression tokens at all appropriate times and can panic.
