I was looking at the lore for Azathoth and I noticed that it sharply contradicted the flavor and mysteries of Azathoth in Eldritch Horror. For example I have read that our world is the dreams of Azathoth and if he wakes then the world blips out of existence. However that's not what happens in Eldritch Horror if he awakens, this happens: Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions tear the Earth's crust apart at a rate faster than the devastation can be recorded or comprehended. As the planet's atmosphere grows increasingly toxic, the insects of Shaggai return to their ships and teleport away, anxious to doom a different world. Eventually, when every living thing on the planet has been reduced to a cinder, a new Outer God emerges from the ruins and joins Azathoth's court at the center of all things". These two pieces of lore do not seem congruent, so how which one is right about Azothoth? And where do the two conflicting stories come from?
