Bertie’s claim and explanation works both ways: he could be a Town or Scum Tracker. He could be a Tracker who is just being roleblocked consistently because of his claim (but when did he claim and is he saying that the Roleblocks before were just coincidence?). Or he could just be lying. He’s staying in my suspects pool.

It's not no reason, and we went over it before yesterday. That was something like the third theory between him and ovi and that tried to shoehorn me into being scum. It was the third time I repeated my story and stressed that it is true. Why make up more and ask me to say anything? You already have my defense.

Which raises a point: Mad claims to have gotten the fruit N2, right? (D1 No lynch, N1 I got the fruit, D2 No lynch, N2 I give it to Gink and he turns up dead, D3 Lynch Forty, N3 Ovi dies, Mad gives Bertie the fruit).

How? How did Gink get it and pass it on the same night? When Pod told me I got it he just said I wanted to get rid of it. He didn't ask me to take action until N2. If that is the case, Gink should not have been able to pass it on until N3, but he was dead. Mad should never have gotten the fruit, and Bertie certainly should never have gotten it.

So, either you can get and pass it on in the same night and Pod never told me, which explains how both Gink and I allegedly got it N1 and how Gink and Mad allegedly both got it N2, or Mad and Bertie are a scum team and are milking our confusion over the fruit to build themselves some cover.

I can see it, but I am more suspicious of Mad and Bertie (see above) until this whole double-fruit-pass is cleared up.

There must be a bus driver who switched Gink and GNIP N1, and Mads and Gink N2. Ovi claimed the fruit makes someone immune to night actions, but as Ebon pointed out, a bus drive generally takes place before everything else happens, otherwise the night actions would be very complicated. Which would mean I really tracked GNIP N1, and Gink N2.

Jabba's theory doesn't really make sense, because ovi had the fruit first. And actually, Gink never had the fruit at all, because of the bus drive (otherwise it would have died in his hands). Probably Gink died because he's a solid player, and ovi died because he was already more or less confirmed town.

At this point I'm wondering if GNIP is really telling the truth though (ovi thought some part of his story didn't make sense). Perhaps he really gave it to Mads N2 and lied about it--which would explain why my tracking on Mads failed. Perhaps the fruit doesn't only make someone immune from night actions, but also ensures that they can't perform a night action. I don't think ovi mentioned this but it would make sense, given that it's a disgusting piece of fruit that we don't want. Which would explain why my tracking failed last night, this time receiving the message that I was roleblocked (the fruit itself is the roleblocker). And if the fruit roleblocks, GNIP could have been prevented from making a kill N1.

The question remains though, why would GNIP tell us about the fruit at all, claiming that he may have accidentally killed Gink? Seems like an unusual way to draw attention to yourself as scum. If he knew the fruit roleblocked, and he knew no one died N1, surely he'd know the reason was because he had the fruit.

We’re at the point where I don’t think anyone’s going to “math out” the fruit yet. I think we should consider hanging Mads. He gives me the impression of trying to fly under the radar while we get distracted (bickering then fruit.) Town Mads, IMO, would have been more useful over the course of this game.

That said, there are some good reasons for Bertie:

Bertie may have opportunistically grabbed onto the fruit to steer discussion. (That said, it seems like a good way to get caught in a lie.)

He claims to have the fruit right now. More data for a pattern.

He’s said a lot about the fruit, and ruling it out as lies or confirming it to be true are useful.

So he’s still a useful lynch.

For what it’s worth I read @Madaghmire asDistracted Town more than Scumariner.

@The Jabbawookie we don't have much time left and I'd prefer lynching Bertie. Would you mind switching, or do you have a strong preference to voting Mad?
