Why would scum think this?

yes

Well see, I was wondering why RB scum didn't switch targets.

If they RB'd me, tried to kill someone N1, and no one died, then they obviously didn't RB the doc. Which led me to doubt that the lack of night kill on N1 was actually due to doc protection.

why is everyone assuming scum killed N1... for all we know there may be reasons behind it that aren;t doc based.. spreading cult maybe? Maybe they have dual power roles and used both?

I'm going to go ahead and ##vote Bertie for now. If a doc shows up I'll unvote. If I'm convinced otherwise I'll unvote. But I can see the point that the argument Bertie is making is the same argument that scum would make in this setting.

PSA IF YOU'RE A DOC PLEASE DON'T ******* CLAIM

At the time I’d voted, you visited half an hour ago and said nothing.

I’m sorry if IRL is inconvenient to catch up with the game, but you have had more opportunity to talk than you have used; the forum shows it.

Also, this is the role-fishiest of role-fishing. Like, could be screenshotted for a wiki article.

yes, yes, yes

##unvote in case

Is there some property of the fruit which could explain why I couldn't track Madaghmire on N2?

that is odd

Tracker can be Scum as easily as Town

correct

Forty! Are you asking for a Doc claim? Isn’t this a little too like how D1 went??

I thought he was as well

No longer convinced of Bertie's innocence here; I have a hard time imagining a likely scenario in which one of Bertie and Forty isn't scum.

Still inclined to vote Forty today because he's the less talkative of the two and didn't claim a power role, but I won't split trains over it.

@EbonHawk care to weigh in?

Not so sure on Bertie, but I'm pretty sure on Forty after that doc fishing.. that's a policy vote for me regardless

Hey all I'm here. Agree Gink is sounding scummy. If we lynch him and we're wrong then Jabba next?

So this plus the ‘can the doc claim please?’ posts have me trying to decide if this is Beginner TownSlip or ScumTells from a distracted player...

How experienced a player is Forty?

He's played enough

This is the KEY

My fruit makes the target inmune to night actions. I sent it to Gink therefore he is inmune so the bus driver so there is no way you got the fruit.

Unless Busdriver actions take precedence.

Either he is lying, and accidentally said something that seems legit to you, or there is a busdriver who swapped Gink and myself.

The problem I have with that is that what are the chances? He fake claim being tracker, to “support this he claim to be roleblocked and chose two target, one per night. Gink and Mad are always likely targets for investigation roles, which makes his fake claim credible. They no need a real roleblocker within the scum team as he is monopolizing the block actions, very clever, no needs to proof the roleblocker existence. But there is a roleblocker effect in the game, which is not under scum control. The not only have to get lucky to say the correct name, he must be lucky to place it during the right night, which he did. And the funniest thing is the way it works cause I didn’t block Bertie, I “protected” Gink which exactly the same effect that would corroborate Bertie’s claim. That’s really lucky, I must say.

BD would always take precedence. Otherwise it is useless.

It can't swap a kill and fruit unless it acts first to instigate the swap

where does he claim roleblocker?

may have missed that page

I read it right now. For some reason I read a Gink n1. No, I can explain Mad event besides an actual roleblocker or you lying.

Which is another way to put Pod cheated me. xD

my pm says all night actions but night kills

Gink N1. Mads N2.

Not necessarily if we’re talking about an action that grants inmunity, why someone couldn’t be inmune to driving actions?

To confirm, roles are as described, non barstard (cabron??)

Scotty Bertie, my keyboard is trolling me.

I CANNOT explain n2

Okay thanks. So perhaps scum has a RB ability as well.

No, in my scenario, there is no role blocker. Just that Bertie lied about being tracker, claimed ti be role blocked to avoid being exposed by saying something that wasn't true _and to sow confusion), and chose two highly understandable targets. The coincidence is that the fruit caused the same result as he claimed, but that is small as that is the most obvious result - nothing.

The only unexplained thing is how I got the fruit, which may be down to a bus driver or some as-yet unascertained event.

8 minutes ago, EbonHawk said:

Why? I thought bastard was referred to games where mod says something work one way but works other way instead.

To have a tracker and a ninja in the setup doesn’t make it bastard. Neither would be bastard if a roleblocker was in it or an x-shot bulletproof.

the bus driver still drive, it just happen there is something around that grants inmunity. To me inmunity should take precedence over the thing that inmunity protects and it happens my fruit grants inmunity against every night action but night kills.

so in the case we hace, Gink is inmune to night actions, a bus driver cannot swap him, but can still swap Ghost. Every action on Gink goes to Gink, every action on a Ghost could still go to Gink, Gink is inmune to all of them so nothing happens.

but I’m. It a mafia guru XD I could be wrong so why would it be bastárd?

I’m not adding a roleblocker there. I’m explaining how lucky he got. I agree with you that claiming being roleblocked is a safe move, but, ****, he not only gave the right name, he gave it the right night. Even more, it is not a roleblocker who is corroborating his claim, what is happening here is that his claim is being corroborated by a fruit that grants inmunity, in other words, it is not a roleblocker who, by chance, targeted him what is supporting his claim (what would be possible), it is a fruit vendor who gave the fruit that makes the right thing to the right person.

he got lucky on the name, the night and the mechanic
