I can if nobody else wants to. It seems Forty has a plan, so if he prefers he can do his first.

My games tend to be on the simplistic side, so if somebody can do a better job, they should probably go first.

Uhh well I probably won't do better but I can guarantee that it's very unlikely that any of y'all have played this flavor before. Is there someone who is experienced in modding these games that I could bounce my idea off of? Necessarily that person would be an observer

@Ginkapo perhaps?

You got first then, I'll go after you.

Understandable. Ok let's give it a day or two to see if anyone else chimes in

Ginkapo is who you want. His skills will pay the bills.

Alternatively, just play the game. If it's unbalanced, eh, who cares? Such is life.

Theyre not wrong

In your view, which provided more useful intel for town, D1 where there was a lynch, or D2 where there wasnt? Can you explain why?

Asking for ANY power role to reveal themselves is generally a bad idea.

Revealing your role (even if it's Vanilla Town) unprompted is generally a bad idea. (Miller is an exception)

If people are voting for you hard and you're at L-1 (one vote away from death) then it's probably a good idea to reveal your role. Or if we're at "Lylo" (when we can reasonably assume scum is one vote away from a gaining a majority).

These rules are more guidelines and they only matter if you know the reasons they exist. Do you know that? Would you know when to break them?

I can think of exceptions, but I'm not an experienced player enough to know every situation in which to break them. I think they are pretty good guidelines for a newer player who might otherwise say "who's the doc" or "I'm vanilla town" unprompted. Because then everyone focuses their voting energy on that player suddenly, and scum can get away.

I actually claimed at L-2 in this game. I said it was because there could be another double voter (a small possibility) but really it was moreso because I knew town was on the wrong track and hoped we could catch scum if I claimed tracker with six hours to go.

PM sent to Gink to start planning next game

D2. There was more participation and time for discussion and scumhunting without having to worry about a train (or so we thought.) Though even then, we didn’t use the time as effectively as we could have. By the end of the day, things were in chaos and I was effectively cleared through attempting a train on myself (because of just how close the train came.)

Though not ironclad, it was similar to getting a lynch but keeping the player.

Good game, everyone! Pod, thanks for modding, this was entertaining.

Good answer. My point here is that its the threat of a lynch thats essential not a lynch itself. Subtle difference but massive difference. I think you understand that now

I find both meaningful for different reasons. In the case of Reavern, we had legitimate reasons to want that seat empty, not inactive.

But I agree there are other ways to achieve the benefits of lynching. When they're available, they're great. The problem is that for the same reasons town hasn't been getting kills lately (poor organization, tolerating lurking/inactivity), town hasn't been good at applying unified pressure.

It would be reasonable to say I was too fixated this game on a symptom, not the root problem.
