Ok see FFG is hurting for news let's make some.
If someone was starting Armada today, based on the FFG Availability page, ( https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-armada/ ) what would you tell someone to pick up to play with?
I’ll take the easy road and go with the Core Set.
After that though, I would go with Home One.
Core box, dice, maneuver tool, rouges & villians, foatillas, each campaign box(for the cards and tokens) and then go with rule of cool for the faction they choose.
The SSD of course!
You get a fleet, a gorgeous "miniature" and a simple but deep game plan.
Also everything get cheaper from there.

It was my understanding that the OP posted the link to FFG's Store page so we'd post suggestions for a Starter fleet based on what was currently available.
The SSD is sold out.

It comes and goes in stock a lot but I love the Attitude.

Lol, you're right.
However I think I would still recommend it. I have two so I don't have a problem to lend one while ffg restock.

I wish FFG would tell us if they were reprinting the SSD.
The Upcoming page used to show us information about restocks. Now it only seems to show the status of New and Upcoming releases. So we have no idea if the Armada expansions that are sold out everywhere are being reprinted or not. And that was a PRE-pandemic problem so they don't get a free pass on that.
Based on the feedback from my "IF ALL Armada expansions were in-stock, what ships/squadrons would you buy?" thread , a lot of people want to buy Armada expansions but can't right now because they're sold out.
Core set, dice, wave 1 (VSD,CR90, Neb-B, AFM2, GSD). I've always felt it best to wade in on any new game.
No fighter packs though! Just remember, patience is a virtue 😊
