Covert operations

By toffolone, in Rules

I see that the leaflet inside iden versio's box has a version of above mentioned rule which is not the same as the rules reference.

ON the leaflet it says that in order to use CO you need to have another commander in list.

So which version is correct?

"THE GOLDEN RULES
The golden rules are fundamental concepts on which all other rules are built.
• If something in this reference contradicts the Learn to Play booklet, the Rules Reference takes precedence.
• If an effect on a card or another component contradicts rules found in the Learn to Play booklet or Rules Reference, that component takes precedence.
• If a card effect uses the word “cannot,” that effect is absolute and cannot be overridden by other game effects." RR, p. 4.

So the question here is if the leaflet is a component or not. I would say it is not a component and that is why the rules reference would apply.

I'd say that the Rules Refference takes precedence. That's why they keep updating it, adding and changing rules.

I'm sure we can find a rule in the leaflet of an older unit which doesn't work like it says there since a long time.

Yep. The insert for Rebel Vets and Shoretroopers say that Detachments are deployed in range 1 of the unit they are a detachment of, when it's always been Move 1. They obviously have to get the inserts approved and sent out before the rules are finalized.
