Just wanted to get a few different opinions on the cover and difficulty ratings for some terrain pieces I made. I designed them with the intention of providing light cover but counting as difficult terrain thereby impeding movement.
Re-reading the rules however I see no suggestion that light cover terrain also creates difficulty in movement.
[NVM, explained on the next page of the rules under barricaades- d'oh]
I know it's up to the people playing, but I wanted to see how you would designate
both
the trees (dense or sparse)
and the long grass/bushes (Light no impediment or heavy and difficult
) to see if there was anything apporaching a consensus.
Does the cover and difficulty type have to stay the same for all same type of unit, ie ground vehicles, or can you designate on a unit by unit basis. For example, our trees here seem impassible for the Occupier tank, but could probably have an ATRT pass through.
Also, we generally decided that you can hop over the long grass, but not stop on it, as it's pretty impractical for models to hold their balance on those pieces. [Effectively, they're like barriers with light cover RRG p.9]
