New player attacking question

By JerryJ98, in Rules

Hello, I'm a newer player, and I have a question that I cant seem to find an answer to. If a standard unit of stormtroopers is attacking a standard unit of rebels with all troops in los and they get 3 successful attack rolls with no defense, are three rebel troops knocked out or only one?

Each rebel trooper has only 1 wound each, so 3 die

The defender suffers one wound for each hit or crit rolled by the attacker that is not blocked or cancelled by cover, dodge, etc. In your example, the attacker rolled three hits, and none of them were blocked or cancelled by the defender. The defending unit as a whole then has to suffer 3 wounds, and since each Rebel Trooper has only 1 wound, 3 troopers will each have to take 1 wound, which kills those troopers.

Hey, this is the Disney Universe now so no one DIES! They are "Defeated". :)

Imagine if you could only knock out one mini per attack. It would be an entirely different game. Attacking would be more about dealing suppression than actually killing stuff, since you couldn't actually kill any units anyway. You'd probably spend all of your actions just sprinting for objectives instead of attacking.

They sure do "defeat" a lot of stormtroopers in Star Wars rebels, but I get what ya mean 🤣

Thank you to everyone who responded! That clears it up so much
