How do Jedi deflect flames?

I think spray should ignore deflect .

With the Force.

P.S. That's exactly the kind of fiddly "realism for no reason except it appeals to a certain type of nerd" rule Legion specifically avoids. It's all abstracted. Learn to deal with it.

We actually got to see "Baby Yoda" deflect flames in the last episode of the Mandalorian.

Was also done in Rebels prior to that.

because gas is matter...and pushing gas via the force is really no different than pushing any other matter via the force?

And in fact from a strictly physics point of view...gas is less mass/matter traveling at a slower speed than a projectile, thus should be easier to deflect than most projectiles in the game.

I want to see Jedi deflect light.

From wookiepedia:

" Force cloak , also known as Force camouflage , was a rarely seen Force talent involving the manipulation of light and sound waves to render a practitioner virtually invisible to the naked eye."

I stand corrected. Thanks fellow star wars nerds. :)

This is exactly the kind of pedantry that I keep coming back to these forums for

I see where OP comes from, because when we think Deflect, we automatically link it to a lighsaber doing it. Of course, the moment a slugthrower comes to the fray, we have to abstract to the Force per se (which also helps with Deflect, as noone without the Force can do it) instead of lightsaber tricks. Flames... only add to that.

Speak for yourself. In my imaginary head-movies, someone can absolutely punch away incoming flames by waving their lightsaber around really fast! 🙂

That's awesome.

Well, I was going to saw Cloak, but not "force cloak."

They throw off their burning cloak and it hits the attackers.

We see this happen in Attack of the Clones (at least the abandoning of the cloak).
