What's in a move

By Vipcard3, in Rules

Hey all, just wanted to check. Is there a difference between "perform a move" and "perform a speed-x move?" Looking at interactions between anything that can move a unit like Leia's command card, recon Intel, force push etc and anything that chains off those eg. Relentless/charge/steady, tactical, ram etc. Is there ever a time when you can be moved and be unable to trigger post move actions. TIA

I'm not sure there are any effects that tell you to "perform a move". They usually say "move action" or "speed-x move". The word "action" is the important bit.

Relentless, Charge, and Steady specifically only trigger off of move actions . Speed-x moves are considered "standard moves" (RRG pg 65) and not "move actions", so they don't trigger those things. They do trigger Agile, though, because that one checks for standard moves.

To perform a "speed-x move" you use the ruler corresponding to that "x"move

To "perform a move" you move the units as you will do during a move action (same rulers)
