Difficult terrain question

By player4567267, in Rules

Hey guys,

I have a noob question about difficult terrain.

It is stated in the rules that if you begin, move though or end your move in a difficult terrain, then you reduced the unit speed by 1.

How to handle the case where one of my trooper unit (speed 2) want to move into a forest (difficult terrain) that is 1.5 away from the leader?

a) The leader is placed in contact with the forest but outside of it.

b) The leader is placed in the forest but stop it's move as soon as its base is entirely within the forest.

c) The leader perform it's whole move (2) in the forest.

d) The leader can just perform a 1 distance move toward the forest and do not even enter in contact with it.

Thanks for your answers guys.

A/ stop at the edge or stop @ move 1 whichever is further for a trooper unit (compulsory moves of vehicles have different rules)

Thanks! Do you have the exact mention of the rule in the reference book?

Best

There's not an exact mention of that case on the rules, but as written, if you want to enter that difficult terrain you'll have your speed reduced by 1, so the most efficient move you can do in the case you mention is move until you touch the difficult tetrain without entering it.

Exactly you don't have to have the -1 speed trigger if you choose to stop before entering , but as son as you choose to enter your speed is dropped by 1 so you have a choice of entering or stopping .
