Xaro plus Salladhor Shan

By sasska, in A Game of Thrones: The Board Game

Hi there, we played a game, where an interesting situation occurred.

The targaryen player attacked the baratheon player. Xaro Xhoan Daxos and Salladhor Shan was played. What happenes then?

Because Salladhor would reduce the ships strength to zero, and then Xaro back to two, because he says "add +2 CS" or just to one, or the stay at zero because the card also says: "(Instead of one")

So what would happen?

This answer in the FAQ covers this, although it is for Sallador Saan versus Victarion Greyjoy the same principle would apply.

Q: If House Greyjoy plays his Victarion Greyjoy house card against House Baratheon’s Sallador Saan house card, are the participating Greyjoy ships still reduced to 0 combat strength?
A: Since both text abilities occur in the same timing window, the resolution is affected by the turn order. If the Greyjoy player was first in turn order, Salladhor would resolve after Victarion, reducing the Greyjoy ships to 0 strength.

You are right, thank you!
