Eye for an Eye Transition into TGS (help)

By Harlock2, in WFRP Gamemasters

behind the grunwald lodge, i put a fishing pond, with a boat, fishing supplies, but on the map drawn is a shadow in the water. If investigated, the PC's might be able to fish up the locked chest item card. I havent read anything about TGS. In fact, disregard the whole fishing for the chest thing. Could the PC's receive a locked chest in any way possible (the key they will get from gregors body or elsewhere) and have that transition into the gathering storm?

As an example of how it could play out, something like this?

With the successful thwarting of the cultists plan, you venture up the old oaken staircase to see Lord Aschaffenberg one final time before departing. Hearing your footsteps along the creaking corridor he excitedly calls you in. Slightly dishevelled, he beams at you, and practically falls over himself showering you with compliments.

Lord Aschaffenberg: Here is your payment as agreed. Oh, you can take this chest too.

Party: Um, thanks. What's in it?

Lord Aschaffenberg: No idea! The last noble left it here hidden in a corner. It''s actually gone slightly mouldy.. No idea what's in it, though it rattles a little when I shake it.

Party: You haven't opened it?

Lord Aschaffenberg: Well I'd need the key for that now wouldn't I!

Party: So.. Any thoughts on how to open it?

Lord Aschaffenberg: Hm. I did notice on the lock is some sort of locksmiths stamp, maybe you can track that down. By golly, it's a great big mystery isn't it.

The stamp can easily be identified by one of the smiths in Ubersreik to be that of Alfricht Jaeger, based in Stromdorf. No-one knows too much about Alfricht but by all accounts he's a highly reclusive master locksmith, working on commission orders only - usually for the gold tier.

Of course, this wouldn't have worked for my party who completely destroyed the lodge and fled with the screams of the dying behind them into the forest.. Bless 'em.

Incidentally, in TGS there is a paragraph on transitioning from Eye For An Eye, which may be worth checking out.

ha ha ha partido_risa.gif . My group sounds like yours. Only they barricaded them inside the mansion, while the lord was trying to rallly his men in the courtyard. the Lord died by a vicious beastmen axe, while hammering on the locked door to let them open. yeah. bless `em.
