im kinda confused about the whole droids and suppression thing

from what i understand, they do take suppression tokens but do not get their cover improved by one, nor be surpressed (take one less action) BUT they CAN be panicked (moving towards the nearest edge) but while panicked, they will still have their two actions as they cannot be suppressed?

No, they panic as normal and while panicked, units perform only 1 action.

"After the “Rally” step of a unit’s activation, if that unit is panicked, it can perform only one action instead of two, and that action must be a move action toward the nearest battlefield edge."
