Yes, you can do so easily enough, but you don't pick up anything. These comms aren't particularly long ranged, but it still means that the imperials aren't too close by.

What would be the range on these?

Any way to boost the signal through the Kom'rk?

Even routed through the Kom'rk, they are too far away to pick up on a broad search. Is there a particular thing you are looking for? A narrower search might allow you to reach farther.
