If a trooper has a dodge token and guardian, can they spend that dodge token to cancel a hit that they guardianed onto themselves?
Dodge & Guardian

The answer to this is no it cannot, excepting if the defending unit also has Soresu Mastery (currently ObiWan) the reason is that the Guardian is not the defender which the dodge rule calls out that the defender spends the dodge and applies cover. Soresu has a ruling in it that says that if someone with the soresu mastery keyword spends a dodge while using guardian it gains surge to block, and can spend that dodge token to block a hit. Note that multiple dodges cannot be spent only one dodge token can be spent in this way.
Ah, okay thanks. I was using Obi-Wan like this and was wondering why the same sort of thing with Leia (Esteemed Leader) and Rebel Troopers wasn't used.
