Cutlass' Creature Generator

By captaincutlass, in WFRP Gamemasters

I'm currently reschooling myself to web developer. At this time we're covering javascript. I just started but I was practicing on a creature generator.

It's still very basic but it is working. I hope to increase functionality as I go along.

I hope you can find good use for it.

Let me give an example:

The generator spits out this stats:

Strength = 3 (5) Toughness = 4 (1) Agility = 2 (0) Intelligence = 1 Willpower = 1 Fellowship = 2 A/C/E = 0/5/5 Wounds = 10 Stance = N/A

This creature is armed and lightly armored but quite tough.
He has low agility, willpower and is not so smart.
He has a fortune die for agility and fellowship.
He's not agressive but trained and conniving, i think this will best be a rogue type.

Perhaps a Dwarf assassin? An Orc Scout?

You get my drift.

Here's the link:

That's great!! Now you 'just' have to limit those to various npc types with realistic bounds for the values. :)

I have had som time to work at the page while learning more javascript.

The generator is level up! It now features difficulties and inspirational images among some other, minor things.

On top of that I've given it some design and included links to the FF and Hammerzeit sites.

Next up is adding actions and creature abillities, but I'm not sure how to proceed, I'm awaiting a response of a mail to the FF staff on fanpage material and copyright and such.

In the mean while I'd like to start creating abillities like swift, poisenous, etc... But since I'm spending so much time studying I hoped I could get some fan input here. Any abillity or actions you come up with will, ofcourse, be credited to you.

I hope you like it and most of all that you can find a use for it, any remarks and input are greatly appreciated.

The link is still: www.cutlass.be/rpg/wfrp/creature/crittergen.html

This has potential...

Thanks for sharing this with us. I will look forward to how it will turn out.

Good gaming

Sadly you might get into some trouble by using the art. :( GW is really bitchy in that way... Other than that - good work!
