I had a game last night with a friend and we was wondering if Gravity Rift works like any other obstacle on attack obstructions or if it only do what the gravity rift rules says?

The Gravity Rift is an obstacle, so unless explicitly stated in its rules that it works differently for obstruction than the normal rules (like Dust Fields), it obstructs like any regular obstacle.
