Who wants to play as minions?

By P-47 Thunderbolt, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I have never played a game on the forum before, but I'd like to give it a try (and I might need some advice).

Who wants to play as a minion group of army troopers/navy troopers/stormtroopers?

I need 4 players. Please go ahead and make up a character, but your skills, characteristics, etc. are all identical to the relevant NPC.

Playing RAW as minions, with all the rules of such.

I expect you all to die instantaneously (more-or-less), but if you survive the adventure could continue. If you all enjoy it and have continued interest I would be willing to make it a "let's watch random groups of stormtrooper minion PCs die" campaign where you see how long you last each adventure (and who knows, if one of you survives, you might get promoted to sergeant!).

The main goal of this (aside from having fun) is to put you in the shoes of the poor troopers you keep killing (they have FAMILIES you monster! *sniff*).

I originally posted this on the AoR forum, but didn't get any takers, so I figured i'd post it here and see if I got any takers.

Can I be stormtrooper TK-420? He was slated for a cosy assignment on the death star but due to an untimely bout of stomach flu, accidentally vomiting in his helmet and still went on duty (to make a good impression) and then proceeding to accidentally blast some friendlies due vomit-impaired vision. Luckily, they were just naval troopers, so he got off with a slap on the wrist and got passed over for death star service in favor of his classmate, TK-421.

TK-421 sure gets all the lucky breaks.;)

What would I have to do? send in "I will do this, in this situation" comments?

@penpenpen Yes! Just don't expect to fare better than TK-421. XD

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but if you look at the Age of Rebellion: Beginner Game forum (or FaD/EotE) you can see how they do it.

Basically we just play like normal, except we just type out what we're saying instead of speaking. I don't have any experience playing on the forum though, but you've gotta start somewhere.

( looked at that section of the forum) Got it, thats pretty much what I thought. I'm game to give it a go :D

are we sticking to actual Stormtroopers? (not sure it matters.. basically just different deployment uniforms...)

Standard Stormtroopers, Navy troopers, or Army troopers. And they do have different stats.

Don't expect your characters to survive though, so I will probably switch you in and out from episode to episode. Especially since I might occasionally be putting you in the roles of NPCs in campaigns with actual PCs/main characters (i.e. Oh, remember those Stormtroopers who shot at Luke and Leia as they swung across the chasm in the Death Star? That was us!).

I set up an OOC thread for the set up and, once we get started, the rolls and stuff.

I'm actualy thinking of pulling from other media... The Carmine family from Gears of War, and the McNickerson's from Hyper RPG's Pencils and Parsecs... and maybe the Boyles from Brooklyn 99 :D
