Shielded and generator

By Icelom, in Rules

So the droidekas unit card has "generator 1" and "shielded 4", with 2 figures.

My question is how does this apply?

1. Each figure has 4 shields and each figure regenerates 1 a turn.

2. The hole unit has 4 shared sheilds and regenerates 1 a turn.

Or some other combination.

Other keywords on unit cards (not the weapons) don't stack per figure in the unit so option 2 makes the most sense there. But logically each droidekas would have there own shields and generators, and having the unit have the same shields and generator value when half dies makes no sense either.

So how is this used? (Looking at the spread for the expansion there are only 4 shields so that answers my question probably... But a shared sheilds pool and only the unit leader having a shield generator feels not right.)

Thanks.

The unit has 4 shields, and flips over 1 per turn. It is odd that they have a shared shield pool, but the other option was to make it so shields didn't really matter after one of the droidekas was killed, so I get why they went this way.
