Modeling Rules

By Lord Padriac, in Rules

Do you need to make sure that any options you want to take in a list are modeled onto your minis to take them like in Warhammer and 40K or can you just model your minis however you think they look best because Legion has well thought out cards that prevent the kind of cheating and mid-battle list changing that rule in the Games Workshop universe is meant to prevent? Like for instance if I like the look of the speeder bike without the sidecar can I model it that way but take the sidecar in a list because the option card will be there on the table? Or if I prefer the look of one weapon on the walker over another can I model it how I want and use the gun I want because the cards will clearly show what weapon it's using? I mean it's not just a matter of preference. Do I have to buy multiples of a given model just to make sure I have every potential option I may want to take at some point?

No need to model as what you see is what you get with legion. Cards really do help in that aspect. I magnetized my morter on my atst so i can play it as wysiwyg but that was modeler decision. As far as minis go talk over any heavily modded minis with your opponent.

A further note: if you are playing in a tournament, there may be additional rules enforcing WYSIWYG, such as the Adepticon or NOVA tournaments.
