Has potential to be great.

Are they retconning Lando’s line about carbon freezings being new and untested though? I am unclear as to when this is set.

This is a TV show?

It's set after return of the jedi something like 2-4 years after I'm not sure on the exact number but I knows its for sure after the battle of Jakku and the end of the war.

BLURRG!! Time 0:40.

Never thought I’d see one in live action. Can’t wait to get some in the Republic faction.

This looks good. Like really good.

It’s a show that will be on the Disney + streaming service Nov 12th of this year.

And yes, this does negate the possibility of a competitive market, but that’s an argument for another time. Oh, dam, politics and business in one statement. RUN FOR THE HILLS!

More screen time for deathtroopers, oo that's some good stuff.

Isn't the explanation that Lando was referring the the specific carbon freezer on Cloud City? It has been a bit since I watched ESB so I don't remember the exact line. Anyway! I think the show looks awesome!

I’ll be putting it on Wookieepedia that after word got out that a certain Corellian smuggler got that treatment, carbonite freezing became the new in prestige fad for all the big high rollers in the underworld. Got to keep your baller image up.

The timeline is after the events of Return of the Jedi .

Actually, this isn't the first time Anakin/Vader utilized carbon freezing on humans, he, obi, some clones and Ahsoka were frozen to sneak into a separatist facility.

There are lots if interesting tidbits here; the names for the eras Age of republic, rebellion, and resistance; The Obi-wan series seems to be only one season, as does the Mandalorian, but this could be just when they start; Resistance’s last season coincides with the Rise of Skywalker, so likely a time jump in the show; there is a space on that chart for 13 years after the end of Rise of Skywalker in the Age of Resistance.

@That Blasted Samophlange The Mandalorian is already in pre production for its second season and there were strong indications they are going for at least three seasons.

Ooohh yeah!

Was that Levar Burton at .29? Can’t see good on my phone screen.

Anyways I am optimistic about a show getting back to the Western aspect of old SW.

I am aware, that is why I put the caveat “this is where they start”. Regardless, the timeline chart seems to have each notch as a year. Obi-Wan and the Mandalorian seasons could all take place within that time span, or they (disney) are leaving it open as they don't know when it will end.

I would be fine with a single season of Obi-wan series if it tells a compelling story. If it is him going off on wacky wizarding adventures, less so. He was supposed to be watching Luke, but not make it look like he was watching Luke.. you know.. stalk casual.

AHHH YEAH! This looks great, I cannot wait!

Not sure if I misread you here but Th Mandalorian is pre The Force Awakens Kenobi is supposed to be 9 years after RotS so won't be in the same time period

Side question.... Does disney sell seasons after the fact on disc the way you see series from other streamers? Id love to watch these series but dont have disney channel, not going to get it just for this.

it's only 7$ a month or 70$ a year. Pretty sweet gig imo. Especially if you happen to have kids due to the other Disney access.

Misread. I wasn't perfectly clear. Each point in the timeline is a year. What I was meaning was that each series could conceivably be confined to that timeframe, each taking place within a years time.

Not that they are taking place in the SAME year, only that the timeline seems to only show a year in which the story is taking place. Hope that clears it up.
