Elven NPC stats

By snafu3, in WFRP Gamemasters

So in my campaing that Im running Im going to have several High elf NPC's, and Im wondering if any one have som sudgestions on ther stats ??

I thought on running them "ST-3(3) TO-3(1) AG-4(1) INT-4(forutune dice) WP-4(fortune dice) FEL-4 A/C/E-2/6/5 Wounds-10 Stance C2" do you guys and gals have som oppinions or tips ?? I would realy appreciate it : )

nothing you have done with the stats sounds wrong - maybe too many expertise dice, but it might be easier to re-skin a basic or expert npc type. they have broad types and broad actions that can be modified. i guess i feel like the stat block is less important than what you want to do with them. elf-flavoring the actions of a basic npc could be very fun. i just don't really know enough about high elves to do it.

...or you can create a High Elf character using one of the normal PC careers, advance it to rank 2 or 3 (depending on what you want from that NPC) and give it the proper equipment plus a couple of action cards.

Im going to have the PC escort a party of High elves scientist to a resently found aicent elven ruin that was lost in "The war of the beard". And the party will get jumped by raiders, greenskin and chaos. Im trying to get the PC to feel realy misserable the roads ar nothing more then long stripes of wet mud it's raining and they're soaking wet (like the martch to Agincourt). So the thing Im going to use the NPC's for are both social and combat. But the idea of having a NPC as a PC (Iffo's idea) is great : ) Thinking on having them as scribes and advance them up to rank 2-3

Thanks for the help guys : )

When designing your NPC, keep in mind that the High Elves operate on a militia system; that is, every citizen is trained to fight. They won't be up to Swordmaster standards by far, but every adult Asur should be able to at least handle a bow - their training starts as archers, and if they show any aptitude for warfare and/or survive an engagement, they are then trained as spearmen. This is the extent of training for most high elves; the rest of their troops (cavalry, Swordmasters, etc) are pursuing the martial arts as a career or stage of life. However, even a potter or fisherman among the Asur would have the basic military training outlined above, as either an archer or archer + spearman.

The WH3E rules don't really reflect that (it would be unfair and overlap with the Dwarven and Wood Elf starting skill selections) but flavor and lore wise it's something to keep in mind.
