I just realized I've probably been playing this wrong for a while. At least that's what I've been told last night.

Can the AT-ST move through area terrain such as jungle areas?

I've always assumed that it can't because I'm used to playing with 3d area terrain and there's no way it would fit in there but last night we played with 2d area terrain and the other player said he was 100% sure that it can.

In the RRG, page 8, you can find a chart regarding Area Terrain that tells you if some terrain is open, difficult or impassable for each type of unit. Before the game starts you and your opponent must agree in which type of area terrain each piece is considered.
