Anyone know if their is MM or Beastiry planned? There is a good selection of creatures in the GM books, but there are still a lot of creatures from this world missing that I would like to use. I can adapt the ones I have available, but I would rather not do so unless I have too.
Monster Manual/Bestiary?
Hopefully this will be the release to follow Winds of Magic. There are some indications this is the case, which would suit me fine... my only wish is that it contains enough creatures to give us creatures clear up to Rank 10. I want stats for the Great Unclean One!
I also think a bestiary will be the next revealed expansion (from looking at the "Sifting through the shadows" pdf). It's supposed to be revealed the coming weekend (check the news item for Malleum maleficarus) I think.
I'm sure it's on their radar, but the turnaround time on these products takes so long because of all the extra bits that need to be in the box (cards, tokens, etc.). I'm sure the Bestiary box will be cool, but I would have been happy with a plain ol' book.
i think this will be more than just more monsters. i think we are going to see more rules for customizing encounters and npcs. and hopefully more monster magic.

I hope so. GMs will get a lot more mileage with guidelines than with stat blocks. Something in the middle would be ideal. I hope they don't codify encounter building a la D&D4.
No bestiary, the last product featured in the preview is a new adventure/campaign (check the news link). But it seems that it will contain skaven stuff so if you want more skaven npc stats that should be a good produxt.
The community should start sharing some home-made stuff. Bestiary won't come until mid-autumn at the earliest I guess.
I'm fine with making stats up for new enemies, but for those who want more accurate numbers, maybe they can adopt the stats and some actions from the WFB army books and share with the rest of us?
has anyone tried converting monsters from the second edition bestiary? the hardest part seems to be coming up with monster actions.

Yeah, that's the tricky bit. A set of action cards for monsters would be very cool, especially when building your own nasty.
For most of them the actions should be very similar to normal action cards - just change the name/flavour and add a funny side effect for banes and boons - no need to make huge mechanical changes.
Since a bestiary probably isn't coming until October (possibly later) why don't we just create one ourselves? With just a few people contributing a few beasties each, we'll have quite a lot of them!
dibs on making minotaurs. post our creations here are in house rules?
