Returning Player - State of the Game

By Etaywah, in Star Wars: Destiny

I played for the first two expansions and was having quite a bit of fun - but the reason I left was because I always thought taking extra turns was a very stupid mechanic in a game with dice variables. I always though it would have been so much smarter for them to have cards that had very strong abilities but granted your OPPONENT and extra turn.

How is the game now? Is it still extra-turn heavy?

Not as much as before. Cards like seize the day and tactical mastery aren't played as much as a couple months ago but they surely have seen a fair bit of play.

With Force Speed and a couple of others rotating out of standard tournament play, there's nowhere near as much action cheating as their used to be. It's still there, but not as dominant.
