Weapon disrupted and crew upgrade

By toffolone, in Rules

I'm quite sure about the answer but a friend of mine is not convinced:

Do crew upgrades - as rocket launcher for landspeeder) - count as one of the vehicle's weapons when "weapon disrupted" damage is in game?

I.e. can the rocket launcher be choosen to be destroyed instead of any other weapon on the landspeeder?

I know the answer is obvious….But a second (and third and fourth ) opinion was required.

page 61 of the RRG
" When a vehicle unit’s weapon is disrupted, a weapon disrupted token is placed on that weapon’s corresponding upgrade card or on that weapon’s corresponding section of the vehicle’s unit card "
so you can have it on the rocket launcher or any other weapon upgrade.
but keep in mind if its your vehicle you can't choose the weapon that is damage.

" The player’s opponent chooses one of that unit’s weapons and a weapon disrupted token is placed on the corresponding card "

I suspect the crew upgrades are supposed to be handled like Hardpoint upgrades, similar to how the Armament upgrades are supposed to be handled like Grenade upgrades, but the rules do not currently dictate the effects of Crew or Armament upgrades. So the strictest reading of the RRG (and silliest) is that Crew and Armament do nothing.

So, therefore, I'd treat the crew upgrade the same as Hardpoint, allowing for the Weapon Disrupted token to be placed on it.
