Good thing i got a 3d printer and your card editor @Bitterman . Never ending content incoming Looking at it that way it‘s not only bad: i can now freely create whoever i want however i want without the danger of ever have to put down a potentially great idea for an official release
Edited by MagicSeviNo plans for new physical product for Imperial Assault

Ban Gideon and you have 20.

Yeah, between SWM figures off eBay, Legion, and 3D printing, there's still plenty of opportunity for new figures, and easy to make cards for them.
A level editor would be nice of course, because missions are the one thing still outstanding as difficult for us fans to make easily; I'm working on it as the mood arises, but it's quite a big job.
I think it's a real shame that the group with the best chance of gaining momentum in picking up where FFG left off, decided to tinker arbitrarily with the existing game in ways that are only ever going to generate discussion; when they could have fixed the SC problem in a first phase to establish widespread acceptance, then added "missing" units like Yoda to "finish" the game in subsequent phases, in the form of Ally/Villain packs, as FFG might have done if they chose to continue support. Ce la vie I suppose.
Press F to pay respects to the fallen heroes.
This killed my motivation. I was gonna paint stuff today, but now I feel like crying instead.
I know there’s actually no hope at all, but they did say “nothing planned ” not discontinuing. So if they keep adding to the app, chances are they’ll realize that they do need to add Yoda, 4-Lom, Zuckuss and Endor.
Well it's not the Clone Wars announcement I was hoping for... but at least the app is fun and hope we get app versions for the rest of the box expansions.

This also means there’s no future in campaign, other than replaying what exists or fan-made content. Couldn’t they have at least given us a campaign creator app before hanging us out to dry?

Well, if you want a really out-there interpretation of there being no plans for new physical content: there are no plans because it is already made! This comment will make me look like an idiot...unless I am right!
Not a native speaker but "there's no plan" should be different than "there's no more plan". I agree this is quite a bad news in any case. For skirmish players this is worst than campaign players. Reason isn't the app itself, the real problem is that we left with a broken meta, for long time or possibly forever. I hope they'll at least produce a couple FAQs to address this regardless of their plans on this game.

Yes but Campaign players generally don't mind replaying because we can try new heroes and new combinations, or different agenda decks. Skirmish players go through withdrawal if new plastic and new meta breaking command cards aren't put out on a regular basis. Unlike skirmish players, campaign players don't repeat battles over and over again. We generally just play on weekends with friends. It's not a blood sport.

It's a fair guess, Imo.
Really bummed to hear this, but We have kind of been anticipating this for awhile.

Well, if they decide to make a box a year from now it’ll be great for campaign players, but at that point all momentum for skirmish (whatever is left of it) will be squashed.

Endor Digital expansion, neutral tokens represent ewoks?
I saw that panel and was really bummed, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something new is on the horizon. IA has a great community of players and here in Melbourne Fl. we have an active league that meets and plays skirmish and campaign every week for the last three years. I know that there is a custom campaign that was released through boardgamegeek and other people in the community are making fixes for older cards that don't see competitive play, so that tells me that the game is not dead for the fans at least. I really hope that FFG does monitor these forums and sees that people are talking about this. I for one have invested a lot of time and money into this game and would be very upset if they just scrapped it completely. I know that there would still be fan made content, but there is something to be said when the game developers still care as much as the fans do and still create licensed content for the players at large. Sorry for this rambling bit, but I felt that I needed to say something in hopes that someone who works at FFG sees it and knows that we still care about Imperial Assault are are not ready for it to be done. Thanks
****. I really thought there was something new coming. Very disappointing. Well, I'm still having fun with the apps (just played JR with my girls yesterday), the campaign (played with some friends the day before) and skirmish (played with a friend the week before). This just means FFG won't get any more money from me but I'll keep playing IA.
I blame Legion. Not interested in a giant 1vs1 Warhammer type SW game in the least. Really dumb to make Legion almost exactly the same size as IA, for a number of reasons.
Definitely my favorite game, and I have quite a few, but admittedly, nothing really like it (they are mostly eurogames).
Guess it's up to us to keep the game alive now (at least the skirmish side of it). We'll probably do a much better job than FFG anyway. Can't do much worse.
Oh, do you think this will make the cost of the remaining IA stuff I don't yet have go up? P'raps I better make some orders quickly...
Yeh to be fair this could just men they have nothing they want to talk about yet, eg maybe they're have thought bout doing Clone Wars but haven't really started yet so didn't want to mention it, or something like that. It may be a long shot, but it's possible.

I would like to believe this.
I thought we had two SKUs open, but there was only one (SWI37).

The inclusion of the Ewok artwork is puzzling...it's not like there's a shortage of artwork for options (albeit not Endor-themed). Why choose something for a non-existent product and that will cause confusion among the fan base? The map came from Captain Terro, and he's not Endor-themed. I strongly suspect that the Ewoks were being developed, but have been sidelined...Perhaps it was something that LFL/Disney put a stop to, or just couldn't get the kinks worked out with the developers.
But now I'm rambling.
If they are reading this forum, and decided to be so secretive as to not elude to something in the future when asked, they pretty much dropped the ball.
It would be nice if they read this forum at all. Do you really think they do? It would be nice if they let IA players who have spent a lot of money on their game, know what is going on. But, it's just crickets.
Hello? FFG? Are you real? Sometimes, I gotta say, I doubt your existence. Can you give me a sign?
Whatever, I have a Xiangqi tournament to prepare for.

This whole thread has been prompted by the fact that they have made an statement. And that statement is that that there is no products being planned. Aside from desperate optimism of people trying to spin it to make it mean something different from of what it explicitly says it's pretty difficult for FFG to expand on the statement that there is no work being planned. They have nothing else to say because there is nothing else to say anything about.
Maybe they could release the usual sequence of news articles: "What not to Expect in our Next Imperal Assault non-Expansion", "Previewing Nothing for Imperial Assault", "Nothing is now Available in Stores", etc...
Oh, I'm pretty sure they read the forums; not every post, of course, but they do keep up on us. That said, FFG is not going to change communication policies just because we whine and cry over our beloved game, I'm afraid...

Yeah, this.
The thin line between optimism and delusion is getting pretty comprehensively crossed when people start taking "we have no plans for any more physical product for this game" to mean "we have many plans for lots more physical product for this game". Alright, they never said " never ", but come on.
This was sad news for a new player like me. I was pretty sure this was going to be supported for a long time since it, at least to me gives the best star wars boardgame feel combined with being a top 50 game at BBG.
I expected a 2nd ed. due to the fact it to me has not had a proper promotion since it became a solo and coop game, that would have pushed it higher on sales and BBG i guess. Yet I have lot of IA to discover and collect... envy me

Not sure, but the Germany thread prompted me to get everything I didn’t have, except the evil droid pair, which don’t interest me at this moment.

Yeah, fair enough. I get that. They said that. But it was after being asked. If no one had asked would they have ever announced anything? Would they have ever made "an statement"?

Oh, I personally am not optimistic about it at all anymore. We're getting nothing. I'm not trying to spin anything. I reckon the ewok picture means nothing. Let's get this IA Continuity Project going. I just find it annoying that there hadn't been an official article or something saying IA is done for now, and we just get an answer to someone's question. At least we got a definite answer. It could have been done better though. Anyway, I'm over it. I'm gonna play some skirmish on the weekend and give feedback to the IA cont. proj.
