Painting services are pretty expensive. Painting yourself can be intimidating, but it's not as hard as it looks. Baring the inability to do it yourself, watch the Sorastro series and just give it a shot. You'll be happy you did.

If you want decadent painted miniatures then you should go for professional services (which are pretty darn pricey, especially for a big set). But ... this vid shows you can get pretty decent results with just a few tips/tricks.
