Salacious B Crumb, Pit Droids, and companion figures

By thinkbomb, in Imperial Assault Painting and Modification

So ... our group's been using some cool 3rd party figures for the droid companions. We actually did a modification to the companion rule that's worked out pretty well.

  • Companion figures cannot end their turn on the same space as another figure.
  • Normal figures can end their turn on the same space as a companion figure. The companion figures' owner may then displace the companion figure to an adjacent space of their choice (or closest possible), using the same rules as a massive figure displacing other figures.
  • If there are any companion specific abilities regarding sharing the same space as others, this is treated as if the text read "adjacent to" instead. (the astromech's insignificant perk applies here)
  • All other rules still apply regarding line of sight, not requiring extra movement points to move past, etc remain the same.

It works out pretty well and it makes it more rewarding than flattened cardboard tokens (also easier than constantly hiding the R5 under the other figures).

...
my question is if any of you have suggestions on suitable figs for the Pit Droid and Salacious B Crumb. I've gotten figures for the others already.

those are nice. I assume I'd need a 3D printer of my own, though? Not seeing a "buy" button.

Oh, fantastic. I've been frustrated for ages that there wasn't a Salacious or Pit Droid in the Star Wars Miniatures game (otherwise the perfect source for IA-suitable figures). These 3D prints will do perfectly.
