Boba Fett, sharpshooter and his command cards

By Taiowaa, in Rules

Hey everyone, i recently played a game and though playing Boba for a while now, it came to me that there is something strange about his keyword combinations.

First of Boba has Sharpshooter 2 which means litterally no enemy who gets shot will have cover.

Now Bobas Flame Projector as well as his Jetpack Rocket have Blast, and it came to me that this might be redundant but what for?!

the only thing where this might be a thing is when shooting different weapons. For example the Rocket on target X and his carbine on target Y.

Is this literally just to make sure noone ever has cover against an attack of Boba? or are there other reasons i didn't see yet?

For now it's just redundant, but I think it might be that way because possibly in the future we'll be getting effects that reduce or cancel sharpshooter for example, and in those cases a weapon with Blast would be important.

That's what I figure too, most things might not make any sense why they are worded a specific way especially when with one keyword currently you might not need another seemingly similar keyword yet technically different in all ways.

Using a bit of assumption mixed with logic, in the future releases you'd be so thankful to have both keywords for something void the one or the other yet you have both so you still can attack regardless of cover. I quite strongly believe they didn't make both keywords and also have Boba Fett have both by accident, give it time and it will make sense.

Even if they don't have specific plans for a unit with "Immune: Sharpshooter," or "Stealth X" at this time, they now have the option without making Boba's flamethrower not work like flamethrowers are supposed to in Legion. Plus, I think a flamethrower or concussion grenade just gets the Blast keyword by default since that's appropriate for the Weapon, while Sharpshooter is appropriate for specific characters.
