Say I am playing Darth Vader, he force pulls a unit of rebel troopers into melee. Since I am performing the speed one move for my opponent, I get to arrange them around Vader in base to base contact yes?

If a unit of wookiees runs up and wants to join the melee with Vader and the rebel troops, do they have to get into base to base contact with Vader or can they get base to base with a rebel trooper to join the melee?

Each melee is separate from any other. You need to be in base contact with Vader to be in a melee with him.
