Critical Hits on Minions

By sithlord78, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Beginner Game

Sorry if this has been posted before but I really couldn't find anything in the rulebook that cover this.

What happens when Say I have a Jedi wielding a crit 1 lightsaber and he's in a fight with 5 stormtroopers. Let's also say he gets a miracle attack roll 1 success 5 advantages and no failures no threats. How many times can he activate a crit hit? Let's say the lightsaber is base damage 8. Does he need to do damage in excess of the soak for each time he can crit or can he only crit once? Or can he crit 5 times?

1 crit per hit RAW.

Page 158 EoE: " In addition, a character can only generate one Critical roll per hit on a target. However, if the roll generates enough advantage to trigger the critical rating of the weapon multiple times, the character can choose to add +10 to the critical injury roll for each subsequent trigger"

So that seems to indicate you can kill one minion with a crit and the rest of the minions receive the damage as normal. You can't crit more than once.

OP: A truly miracle roll then could be, with the lightsaber stat of 8 base damage and 1 critical, as low as 1 success 7 advantage (or maybe two triumph) against some sort of an impossible single target that receives critical injuries. (Vader, Yoda if ya nasty)

9 damage, subtract the soak, but the critical injury caused is at +60 to the table roll. Instant, undeniable, death on roll of 91+ :)
