The rules say Repulsor vehicles (T-47) and ground vehicles (ATST) can only move onto or over terrain that's half or less than the height of the leader. Does this mean that an ATST can actually move over higher terrain than the T-47 since the ATST model is taller? This seems strange when the T-47 is an actual flying aircraft type unit. Am I missing something?
T-47 movement versus ATST movement (weird rule)
Actually, I see on the T-47 card it ignores terrain 2 or lower. So, does that mean the max height it can fly over is terrain 2 plus half the size of the unit?

keep in mind the t47 doesn't count its clear peg or base as part of that mini. but yes its half the height of the mini leader.

So, is that correct then, the highest it can 'fly' is terrain 2 plus half the size of the height of the unit?

correct its speeder 2 (height 2) + the 1/2 the t47 model which is smaller then a barricade.

Hmmm, that's interesting. I asked the same question on the FB page and was told by a player that it's only height 2 or lower. Like I said, it's a weird rule!

from FFG rules:
While performing a standard move, a repulsor vehicle
mini can move onto or over a piece of a terrain that has
a height that is equal to or less than the height of the unit
leader’s mini
so after you preform speeder x part you still take a object half the height of mini and you can go over it so basicly height 2 + 1/2 of the model height. its not that much heigher.
btw you can always email FFG for official answers.

I haven’t seen that post, but what you heard there is correct. The two rules are entirely separate, not additive. Height 2 is the maximum height of terrain the T-47 can move over.
Actually, if you move in stages you might be able to get onto something taller. E.g., move onto a piece of height-2 terrain, then onto a taller piece that’s less than the speeder’s height. Provided that there is no gap between them.
