For those who are not excited for hyperspace(imperial players? Rebel players? “Variety” players?) can ffg change your mind?

Not -one- format. Try -the- format.

The idea of multiple formats sounds cool on paper to me....until only one is used for all events. Then the others may as well not even exist, if there’s no support for them.

As has been stated multiple times. There are official extended events. It's not all or nothing.

I cant believe how cyclical this is.

**** it. Just read what SOTL said last page. The mockery is deserved.

How much must they be changing in the Matrix to cause all this deja vu?

So people are surprised that the app designed to assist in banning for formats used banning in -one- format?

Jesus you people are making me agree with SOTL! I need to get away from these forums before I just start insulting people non stop

One format out of two. An official format used for premier events. Used to ban, what, 80-90%? of the Extended content.

And insulting people doesn't make you right.

Page 19 we are on now.

Look at the original question in the title: it's clear that the answer is 'no'.

There's been no discussion, no debate, no middle ground, no compromise, just the same lies regurgitated as moral justification time and again. It's their way or... well, no... it's just their way.

Yes the people who developed the game to have an app with multiple format restrictions. And announced that they would use the app to make formats for OP. used that to make an official format with restrictions as one of their 2 OP formats.

Insulting people doesnt make me right.

Having to explain painfully simple concepts to entitled man children puts me in an insulting mood.

See? Just had to explain -another- painfully simple concept as though I was talking to a child.

And you're back to pouting. You were doing so well over the last page of the thread.

Which you aid and encourage when you are more interested in smack talk than upholding your point. You are just as responsible for the length as those you rage against.

Ommiting information doesn't make you right either. Plenty of people have commented that lack of communication from FFG regarding the intent of their systems has lead to dissatisfaction with the Hyperspace format. Calling people names doesn't change that.

It is like talking to a child that's past their bedtime. Perhaps a nap would improve your disposition?

This bickering is pointless

Lol we just hit "I know you are but what am I?" Levels of comeback.

I didnt omit anything. Different OP formats were announced early by ffg. That's where the podcasters and bloggers got the info to further spread it. Ignoring ffg statements then accusing them of communicating poorly is stupid.

Show me the "early" announcement where FFG outlined the Hyperspace format as we know it now.

We're doing The Last Jedi, or at least Star Wars. Put some effort in.

This first announcement article specified using the app to change formats in OP by restricting things.

The first ******* one.

Do you need screenshots of the lines highlighted too? Cause it seems like the communication issue is your willful ignorance of what's been stated, not ffg statements.

You can't use reason that's been proven dozens and dozens of times already.

There's only two responses available: ignore, or memes.

I have no meme URLs and I'm pretty technology illiterate.

Which is part of why this is so infuriating. If I'm capable of knowing this stuff, then anyone on these forums should.

Though there is this choice quote.:

"The dynamic approach to X-Wing formats given by the X-Wing squad builder app gives the Organized Play team an opportunity to create unforgettable and unique tournament formats."

That's for sure! :D

If the only extended events are three states away or more, then it effectively is all or nothing.

The only cycle here is folks on your side seem to believe that is ok and “proof” it’s not all Hyperspace. A single exception (system open series) that is expensive to get to is not a realistic option for most.

I suppose even if System Open were Hyperspace, you’d argue “look extended is in the app, thus it’s not ALL hyperspace”.

No if literally every event was hyperspace then you would have a point that there is only hyperspace OP. But that isnt reality. And whining about 3 states away falls flat with me because I could cross 3 of your states driving to the next major city from the one I'm in. Seriously you guys are spoiled for choice compared to here. And if my nanook of the north *** can find extended games (I do) and you cant then it seems like an attitude issue.

I mean I like the idea of some of the themed formats in the app. Having the FLGS run a week or month using one of them is cool.

Mine did the month long store league where you earned bonus points for using the Yavin list sets. It was cool! A Lucasarts set, Endor, Middlemen (off the cuff idea, but all pilots are only I3-4), or so on can be a fun break from the standard format. A nice aparatif for your regular group.

Also can everyone stop with the rancor? There is discussion to be had, in particular I was interested in hearing more about why Boba wasn’t going to be good in Hyperspace and it would be an I6 meta. Having not played Hyperspace I was curious for more of thoughtful looks at how it would differ from extended in what is considered ‘good’.

Instead we have a handful of chucklenuts who are saturating the thread with bile. So please, take it down a notch, and maybe don’t respond, and there could be a conversation that could be had.

Happy to take sensible discussion about what Hyperspace will look like into a new thread, away from those who already know it looks like the end of the world.

My local gaming pub does alternate formats for our league nights. We did it in 1.0 without the app. Achievements, only generics, only uniques, mixed faction, objectives. It's easy and yes, a nice break from standard games.
